Overview
Our lab practices ecocentric approach to improve the overall health of ecosystem. We answer interdisciplinary questions from ecology, evolution, microbiology, disease biology by utilizing advanced methods of genomics and bioinformatics by considering holobiont (host and its associated microbial community) as a unit of evolution.

Why do we need one health approach
Human health is intrinsically associated with plant, animal and environment health, thus efforts limited to one level can not eliminate the problem. By identifying underlying causes of disturbance in nature, we can tackle the problem of species extinction, effectively prevent the outbreak of zoonoses, and improve the global ecosystem health.
